Ghostbuster’s Trap

Maya Modeling

I followed a Skillshare tutorial taught by Lucas Ridley. In this project, I spent my time practicing the development of clean topology and working with the bevel and welding tools.

I then added arnoldaistandard materials to the different components, adding lighting to pose the model.

Cinema 4D: Baseball Texture

Final Product

Final Product

A beloved baseball used many times, retired from games. In the picture above, I modeled a baseball and added realistic textures. I then attached a voronoi fracture to a large dirt particle and shattered it to create the illusion of dirt flying closely behind the baseball.

Textures

I worked with these four textures to add a realistic and unique look to this baseball. Making sure to find high resolution images for maximized detail.

Camera: Depth of Field

To add a higher sense of realism, I adjusted the aperture of the camera to achieve a shallow depth of field. In some of the photographs you can see a before and after of the effects of the camera.

Autodesk Maya: Waking Nightmare

A Short Thriller Animation

A child wakes to find himself in a dark confined space. As he makes his way forward, it becomes evident that he is on a train. A shadow lurks watching and waiting for an opportune moment.

This animation was a collaboration project with myself and MaryJo Snyder.

Cycling Butterfly

Autodesk Maya Cleanup

Creating this animation had many small steps involved, one of the biggest was prepping the butterfly.

I found a free butterfly model on turbo squid modeling website. The amount of polygon faces was very high. I ended up cleaning and then restructuring some parts of the butterfly to allow for more concise weigh painting and rigging. I soon learned that it would have been much more efficient to model a lower poly version of the butterfly. I then rigged the butterfly to animate a flying movement.

Mudbox

I Next I exported the model over to Mudbox.

I created a custom fire themed airbrush color. Referencing a chemical chart I found online:

FINAL EDIT

See 28 to 38 days for more of the concept behind this piece.

I layered a large amount of different sounds and music together to create the music for the small clip.

Unlimited Universe Within

Using Cinema 4D, I created a small animation of a cellphone shattering to reveal the digital world it contains. Each little planet represent a possible world within the cellphone.

Some worlds are abstract and only represent feelings, others could be more concrete and realistic. The clip demonstrate an abstract world, full of color expressing emotions or feelings. The small alien space crafts are invaders to these little planets.
