Skeleton Design

Here is a 2D profile and side view of this skeleton character. Using Autodesk Maya, I modeled the sketch organically. Here are more images:

Ghostbuster’s Trap

Maya Modeling I followed a Skillshare tutorial taught by Lucas Ridley. In this project, I spent my time practicing the development of clean topology and working with the bevel and welding tools. I then added arnoldaistandard materials to the different components, adding lighting to pose the model.

Cinema 4D: Baseball Texture

Final Product A beloved baseball used many times, retired from games. In the picture above, I modeled a baseball and added realistic textures. I then attached a voronoi fracture to a large dirt particle and shattered it to create the illusion of dirt flying closely behind the baseball. Textures I worked with these four textures to add a realistic and…

Autodesk Maya: Waking Nightmare

A Short Thriller Animation A child wakes to find himself in a dark confined space. As he makes his way forward, it becomes evident that he is on a train. A shadow lurks watching and waiting for an opportune moment. This animation was a collaboration project with myself and MaryJo Snyder.

Motion Capture: Dancing Shapes

The shaky movement you perceive the beginning of the video, is captured using motion capture software. This piece functions like a moving sculpture. I attached squares and a helix, adding additional animations and then a particle system to this piece. This was created using Autodesk Maya and the video edits were done in Adobe Premiere.

Cycling Butterfly

Autodesk Maya Cleanup Creating this animation had many small steps involved, one of the biggest was prepping the butterfly. I found a free butterfly model on turbo squid modeling website. The amount of polygon faces was very high. I ended up cleaning and then restructuring some parts of the butterfly to allow for more concise weigh painting and rigging. I…

Cycling Dreams, Learning Autodesk Maya

Learning Autodesk Maya has been both exhilarating and challenging as an Artist. Before a year ago extruding or moving a vertices was foreign to me. Today I enjoy making small narrative stories with the skills I have learned so far. I took a a cylinder primitive and then animated it to perform an interesting rhythmic movement. Next, I placed it…

Exploding Rose

I created my own version of GreyscaleGorilla’s tutorial on a “Shattering Rose” in Cinema 4D. Instead of using their plugins, I used the push apart effector to create the “exploding” part of the rose.

Dancing Robot

This was my second animation using Maya. Here I applied a skeleton system and used forward kinesthetics. I would like to tweak his skeletal system, allowing me to create more unique dance moves. Also I would also like to create other components. from my initial design, such as the furnace in the chest and gears in his head. Here are…
